killing a person can't be a half-cooked notion. there is no nice or neat or thoughtful way to kill a person - regardless if the killing has the blessing of law. it is about the end, killing the person

execution is the proper phrase. this phrase is not accurately substituted by capital punishment. capital punishment sounds too removed, too polite. execution was not invented to be polite. the very nature of an execution is that it be brutal and it be painful. execution was invented primarily to deter crime and primarily for public retribution. society lacks the sense of cohesion of former times. still, society as a civil occurrence should not suffer because of it. yes, execution is civil. torture is not. this is where things are being confused. in bible times, the guilty were stoned, swift and thoroughly. torture would have been to stone them, limb by limb, cackling and dancing in the mist of the guilty's pain. taking pleasure in delivering each heavy, solid compound of judgment. execution is swift and thorough. mistakes do happen, royalty has endured several wacks before the executioner's blade got it right. this is an honest mistake, and the executioner did not stop but instead hastened his blows to end the pain. that's all execution is - ending the pain of the victim and of the victims' loved ones, and in rare cases, expediting the death of the guilty to achieve the decided retribution. the only 'issue' regarding execution is making sure it is as quick, cheap and easy as possible. clean needles, revolutionary tools, finances, mercy, born-again-ism - these have no weight. if they must have weight, abolish death as a penalty of law

society has evolved into a silly fantasy of politeness. and, society now thinks too much. honestly, society thinks too much. the only time an execution involves thought is when there are doubts about the guilty verdict. develop a truth serum. or. this is where honesty comes in. all judges, district attorneys, witnesses, victims, every body tell the truth. this will eliminate the need to second trials and stays and pardons postpartum. if resources are going to be tied up in making execution as painless and as sterile and as pretty as possible, then don't execute any one. in fact, don't tie up resources in taking care of the incarcerated. those who are no physical threat to society - send them to mind alteration. re-condition them and their thought processes and return them to society - monitored, of course. for the rest, find a drop off. drop all sexual offenders in one spot, let them learn of their error by victimizing each other. drop all drug dealers in another spot, let them learn of their error by making them witness the withdrawal experience of their victims. drop all murderers in their own spot, and let them kill each other. now, naturally, there are differences in murder status, so society must take care not to confuse murderers with self-defenders. drop necessities for growing food and leave them all to survive. maybe send audio recordings over air waves with constant broadcasts on how-to projects. they can listen and learn to make their clothes, build living spaces, master trades. drop them off respectively, and forget about them. have a fool-proof merit system in place for those who are candidates for rehabilitation. forget about the rest of them. every now and then check in from a distance, forward their mail, but assume and perpetuate absolutely no responsibility for them

immediately transfer the monies and other resources that were used for them to the public. give the public free healthcare and education, set up a reward system and award a car, a home, a job opportunity based on a myriad of accomplishments individuals achieve

execution is as crucial to social order as is adequate food and shelter. yes, every one has rights, but at some point, individuals' forfeit their rights. who cares if they are executed believing they are a martyr. that is the beauty of freedom of religion. finality is effect. and, honestly, the current system of execution is fine. it does not need refining. use the machines and ensure regular maintenance only, recycle the needles to get more for the money, use neckties and sheets from the lost and found to create hanging devices, throw common but toxic household fluids into their sealed room to suffocate them, do they really need or deserve a burial? do whatever will save money and time. it is, after all, about the end, killing them. otherwise, the law-abiding are being victimized while society tries to accommodate the criminals
