'Born Only To Be Caught & Destroyed'

On this quote, not all pain is the same. scaling the differences is lucid reality. reservations are involved with ascribing status: pain. excuse body for a time. because physical pain is flirty. it's real but compromising. emotional pain doesn't barter

yes. other forms of music embody the essence of emotional pain. blues is the #1 contender. but hip hop. guaranteed cash in the buckets; aawes in the seats. not only does hip hop not stop. hip hop thrives, invades...waltz's through - welcome and unwelcome, the procession of future charmed in the melody of its flute

born only to be caught and destroyed

hip hop is, as is this quote, about emotional pain. jesus was not singing to the folks. jesus was rapping - the poetic parting of raw scripture. raw scripture. the letter 4 letter of life's inhibitors and hardship's descriptors. hip hop in its creation is and remains the ministry of life. with identity the visiting pastor damn near every service

'born only to be caught and destroyed' is the rasp interpretation of emotional pain. intermission: caught by whom; destroyed by whom - minor details because the journey of it, the journey to raw scripture is what matters. end intermission. but. rasp. that's what hip hop is. hip hop is an experience. after which. one clears the throat. and, . . . let the lyricism begin
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
spit. out of the grit, the dirt. soul felt lyrics dripping from caked lungs. singing is pretty. lyricism is devout. never early or delayed. born - living...only to be caught - disclosed...who else, what else can identify, in unconditional devotion, but hip hop XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

a closer word on hip hop: as pertains to black men: and as pertains to non-gimmick hip hop heads: as pertains to the disadvantaged and their survival: hip hop is the lifeline for endangered species. both 'disadvantaged' & 'endangered' are wide open here. there are levelers in the survival equation. these are in limited arenas. and, while black men revolutionized the meaning of self-made. it is the element of 'self' that poses threat of extinction. and, it is the element of 'self' that proposes survival for the endangered

so continues a 12-part series on the bible. each thursday, i am exploring a disciple and an apostle in reference to current time. the disciple and apostle are paired as announced in the bible. in doing, it is established that the order in which they are announced has meaning. and that meaning corresponds purpose between those announced seventh, let's just say for example, on the lists

goal: explore 'The 12' - i don't plan foolery. though i am compelled to poke around

why. this is inspired. 'Inspired By . . . THE BIBLE EXPERIENCE' was a gift to me. i wanted it. and, i can't say if i asked for it. or. it asked for me. because i found myself moved - shaken. singing. disturbed. amen-ing. questioning
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
the fact that 'Inspired By . . .' is a project based on race. an audio production. by an all brown-skin cast. re-enacting the bible. is irrelevant. they are all famous. this, too, is irrelevant. simply because an all brown-skin cast of ordinary folk would have been just as pioneering, and tempting
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
overwhelming, hallelujah - but it is only a bible. and it has inspired me

EVERY MINUTE IT IS BORN AGAIN
AND REMAINS 4EVER INDIGENOUS

finally, a formal introduction
The mission of The Hip Hop Church is to present the Christian gospel in a setting that appeals to both those individuals who are confessed Christians, as well as those who are considered unchurched. The Hip Hop Church is worship and scriptural study. The Hip Hop Church is outreach to the disenfranchised, the brokenhearted, the oppressed and those considered "disposable" by larger society. The worship services follow an order of service consistent with many African-American churches, while always allowing the Holy Spirit to have full reign.
