it's not integrity theft - in my mind - because it is your integrity that creates you a secondary victim. whereas your honesty is the non tangible, tangible - i'll say - used to defraud. muddled, but . . . at first i thought 'this is another case of identity theft' but: 'they' don't recognize the raw hunt & devour of this crime. which, if 'they' ever do, will lax the definition of identity theft. to: include: one person's use of a second person's name or time or energy or resources - material and not - based on an agreement made by the passive-malicious intent and result of the first person in harm to a third person byway of the second person's ignorance to the true nature and motive of the first person and that person's crime. it is identity theft. 101. sort of the simplification of the perfect crime. a name. an act in honesty. honesty to honor my word to the criminal. while the criminal dishonors their word to the primary victim. i thought it was a theft of my name, but it truly is a theft of my honesty. i can change my name. place of residence. social security number. but my honesty isn't chameleon. integrity reminds me of my honesty's inflexibility

. . . about 6 mos ago: i wanted to earn extra cash. thru careerbuilder.com & monster.com - in fact, i never subscribed to monster.com, but gullibility builds a reputation, fast, and they contacted me - i fell into a scam. not by the job search banks. by scammers posting 'jobs' on these banks

basically, i was offered and accepted a position as a financial agent by independent contract to wire transfer money. supposedly legitimate payment thru legitimate business activity. too good to be true. supposedly not only legal, but supported by us law. who knows where to find this law - i'd like confirmation. i was in the position of financial agent for about two weeks. i had two transactions. 1st: a woman out of my state by certified check from chase manhattan bank. i deposited the check. the bank - m&t - never contacted me. i followed up with the bank to complete the transaction. i learned my account was on hold; the check was canceled. i - keeping my 'employer' informed of every step - inquired. i was told the customer bought furniture, which she found elsewhere cheaper. no problem. in fact, good for her. 2nd) a woman, again out of state, sent me a check. this time the envelope (or maybe it was the check) has what looks like contest information on it. a combination of numbers and letters. and. it just doesn't feel right. plus, the company's information is simply 'payment processing center'

i repackaged the check. mailed it directly to the woman. with a note. simply stated: i think you are or have been the victim of a scam. i apologize for any inconvenience. if you have purchased merchandise from a legitimate company. still. i prefer to inconvenience you. and let you work it out with the company. if my interpretation of the situation is wrong. rather than be part to your victimization. i included my name and number. with an invitation to contact me

i wanted to wait to inform my 'employer.' but he or she was persistent on status. and, so. needless to say. he or she was most - no, only - concerned that i contacted the customer directly

we were both victims. me and each woman living out of my state. as far as i know. i continue to be. the criminal(s) has my name, which can be gotten most anywhere. i mean, names aren't confidential record. but . . . they have it in this bad context. and, my signature from the independent contractor agreement. and, a copy of my license. they conducted themselves like any other job i applied to and accepted. and, well . . . the embarrassment is returning. so . . . will this come back to haunt me years from now. only time knows

making amends: i hope: to the first woman, the woman who got wind i guess and canceled her check, i sent a card, explaining what happened on my end, and telling her i need her to know, i am not a monster. i never meant to victimize her. i never heard from her

and, i thought. i let it all go. you know. my error. move on. i and god know the truth. please bless me not to become another of countless people. whose name and person are used to defraud others. i put an id theft alert on my social security number. and, with all the credit bureaus. i told the job banks. i did not file a police report. i just did not have the energy or desire to relive my dumbness. plus, what would or can they do besides tell me to create an alert

How are you doing this Evening, I came online to update you in regards to the arriver of the check and i did got your email, I was contacted by Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital NHS Trust that my Father was in there huspital for operation all because he was sicked, Suffering from an Trypanosomiasis and i am unhappy, because i love him alot, because is the only person i have has a father. Truly is a Old man of 82 years of age, But i still was him in this world as a father. My son know's him and they regards him, All my family knows him as a father.
