who decided we, we females, need to be responsible for this

specifically, why is there a 'female' condom

condom: a device, usually made of latex, or more recently polyurethane, that is used during sexual intercourse; a device put on the male partner's penis for the purpose of preventing pregnancy and or transmission of sexually transmitted diseases

and, re: 'female condom' wikipedia states:

recently 'female condoms' or 'femidoms' have become available - they are larger and wider, but equivalent in length; they have a flexible ring-shaped opening, and are designed to be inserted into the vagina, containing an inner ring which aids insertion and helps keep the condom in place inside the vagina

...hasn't it been kept in place since egyptian penises 3,000 years ago - or, at very least, since the rubber condom came in 1855...

sales of female condoms have been disappointing in developed countries. probable causes for poor sales are that inserting the female condom is a skill that has to be learned and that female condoms can be significantly more expensive than male condoms - 2 to 3 times the cost

ok, so

we're - meaning females - conditioned to stay home - be it feast or famine - until the mister brings home the bread and bacon;

then, because the country has no other choice, we're allowed to work; and, still the subject of sex, money and power,

we're expected to exist inferior while working superior, and now purchase and insert this 'condom,' which, in doing so, validates their - meaning men - belief that women's lib/equality of the sexes = male insolence

this really isn't about self protection; it isn't about the pregnancy/vulnerability stigma; it is not about the pimping of ignorance or capital'bility

this is about principle

both the 'male' and female' condom are made for the penis, and claims that the 'female' condom is designed for the vagina is hogs'wash (its ONLY bigger, and bigger for a very dimension-definitive cavity, mind you)

a penis in the pants puts your lazy ass in possession of the power to protect it

and, just because i simply can't not say anything about it, the 'female condom' is expensive, the male condom is available at every other corner, for free

enough already: if he can't take moments to get it or to put it on, he doesn't deserve p*ssy - leave him to be his own problem
